Dear Players, Friends and Families,
Well it seems we’re almost there with the YJFL announcing today that Footy’s Back in Mid-July!!

As was published in the Herald Sun and the Leader Community News earlier today, the YJFL has confirmed, subject to Government approval, we will be back in mid-July. 2020’s plan is for 12 home-and-away games with two weeks of finals and a conclusion set for Sunday, October 11. The Aquinas Juniors committee have been working hard to keep the fires burning in the background so we could be ready for just this type of announcement. Pat Broderick will need all of our help in being COVID-Safe so we don’t jeopardise our return. (Make sure you get your return to training authority form back to him ASAP.)

Of course, with teams getting ready for games in only 40 DAYS (Boom-Yah!) it’s now time to consider how you can help. We need Team Managers (U13’s & U18’s) and support crew for each team. We don’t think we’ll need trainers due to a reduction of on-field adults (Covid-safe)…The league is yet to confirm this, however we believe this role will be taken by the on-site paramedics at each game.

We’d also like a few more people on the committee to help guide the ship. We’re a pretty low key committee but we’re certainly in need of someone to help with:-
- Marketing on Facebook & TeamApp.
- Grants / Sponsorship

And if anyone wants to sponsor this growing junior club, please let me know and we can have a coffee/tea/milkshake/bubble-tea or beer and find out what works for both of us.
